A WWE Raw Match Was Cut Short at the ‘Last Second’

There was a match cut for time tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw.

Alpha Academy’s Chad Gable wrestled against Erik from The Viking Raiders in a singles match. Erik had Valhalla and Ivar at ringside to watch his back and Gable had Otis and Maxxine Dupri at ringside.

The match didn’t last long because it was over in about a minute and 50 seconds but it was supposed to go longer. #BWE, the insider private Twitter account, noted that the match was cut short at the last minute. The reason for this is not confirmed but it’s likely because a segment before them went long.

The match was won by Gable after a diving headbutt. That was preceded by Maxxine Dupri hitting her first-ever wrestling move (an arm drag, see the video below) on Valhalla at ringside. This is the first step towards Maxxine having full-blown wrestling matches.
