AEW TNT Champion Christian Cage vs. Daniel Garcia took place at the AEW Revolution 2024 pay-per-view event from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC.
Garcia brought the fight to him right out of the gate in the opening contest. Cage poked him in the eye before taking over. Cage tossed him to the floor and hit a dive off the top rope. Back in the ring, Garcia started to work over the left knee. Garcia made a comeback with a series of shots in the corner then hit a sunset flip roll up for 2. Garcia tossed him over the ring steps. Cage rolled through an ankle lock, but Garcia caught him with a back suplex off the middle rope for 2. Killswitch with a chokeslam while the referee wasn’t looking. There was some other outside interference from Nick Wayne. Cage with a splash off the top rope for 2. Daddy Magic sent Killswitch into the ring post. Cage went for a spear, but his leg went out and Garcia hit a piledriver for 2. Nick used the top rope to Garcia and Cage hit his finisher for the win.
