Fans have been speculating about what Stephanie McMahon’s WWE future holds after she made a surprise appearance on Sunday evening at WWE WrestleMania XL – Night 2, where she cut a promo by saying she had the privilege of being at every WrestleMania and that this year’s event was the first-ever of the Paul Levesque era. She welcomed everyone to Mania.
This comes after Stephanie announced in January 2023 that she was no longer with the company in an executive role as she had resigned as Chairwoman and co-CEO of WWE. It was days after Vince McMahon voted himself back, alongside George Barrios and Michelle Wilson, to the Board Of Directors.
While speaking at the post-WrestleMania 40 presser, Triple H was asked about McMahon’s appearance. For more on that, click here. Internally, the company kept the appearance quiet.
Pwinsider reports McMahon is not officially back with the company in any capacity as the appearance was done to surprise the fans and give her support for the company’s new era since her husband is in charge.
It was seen as “McMahon putting her own personal stamp of approval on what they are doing” and “not designed to be the beginning of McMahon returning for storylines or behind-the-scenes duties.”
It was said Stephanie is more than welcome to return down the line.
