Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that at one point, there was a discussion that Men’s Money in the Bank would open, and The Bloodline Civil War Match would close the event. However, the match order wouldn’t be finalized until after the SmackDown taping.

Regarding the main event, some people were told the show was being built around the promotion of a “triple main event,” with the idea being used going forward after not doing so often over the last few years.

One source stated, “any more heat on Dominik Mysterio is a good thing,” something they felt like the line did.

Other top matches on the card include The Usos vs. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa, the Money in the Bank ladder matches, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor, and more.
