Former AEW star Brian Pillman, Jr. has been featured in vignettes on NXT in recent weeks and his debut appears to be imminent.
The company showed him sitting in a living room watching old clips that are a mix of footage from WCW with links to his father and clips of various WWE Superstars over the years. However, when he makes his WWE debut, it appears that he won’t be referenced as Brian Pillman, Jr.
As was reported last week here on WrestlingNews.co, WWE recently filed for the trademark for the name “Lexis King.” Lexis is short for Alexis, the name of Pillman’s sister who passed away. The King name is the name of his late mother Melanie after she remarried after Pillman, Sr.’s passing.
While not 100 percent confirmed by the company, the word going around the WWE PC is that the Lexis King name has been earmarked for Pillman, Jr.
