Tonight on AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley defeated CM Punk in a quick match to become the Undisputed AEW World Championship.
Minutes into the match, Punk appeared to have injured the foot that was surgically repaired. Moxley attacked and he hit two Death Riders to pin Punk and unify the titles. Medical personnel were out to tend to Punk as Moxley celebrated his title win.
The cameras then showed Punk being helped to the backstage area. Dave Meltzer reported that Punk vs. Moxley was still scheduled for All Out so it’s unclear right now if that is still the case of if AEW knew all along that Punk had to drop the title because his foot was not healed yet.
