CM Punk, Young Bucks, Kenny Omega situation will be addressed tonight on AEW Dynamite

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer noted on Twitter that the backstage fight that occurred after AEW All Out will be addressed in some fashion tonight on AEW Dynamite.

It’s unclear how much of it will be addressed but they have to say something because Punk is the AEW World Champion and is/was scheduled to defend against MJF, likely at the next pay-per-view in November. Also, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are the first Trios Champions.

As was noted earlier, at least 7 people were suspended by the company. Click here for the list of names that have been confirmed to be suspended.

The belief is that Ace Steel is suspended because he is not being flown in to be backstage at tonight’s show. If that is indeed the case, then would indicate that the company is leaning towards suspending, and not firing, CM Punk. Again, that is not confirmed but at this point, Punk appears to still be with the company.

Announced for tonight’s AEW Dynamite:

– AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm will battle Penelope Ford in a Championship Eliminator match. If Penelope wins, then she will earn a future title shot.

– Following his return at All Out, we will hear from number 1 contender MJF.

– ROH Pure Championship: Champoin Wheeler Yuta vs. Daniel Garcia

– Death Triangle vs. Orange Cassidy & Best Friends

Also, Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho are scheduled to appear.
