Cody Rhodes Has Been A Workhorse For WWE So Far This Year

Cody Rhodes had the goal of doing something his legendary father, Dusty Rhodes, never did, which was to be the top star in WWE as the WWE Champion. Following his return in 2022 and feud with Seth Rollins before being sidelined with a torn pec, Rhodes continued his journey in 2023.

Rhodes won the Men’s Royal Rumble Match that year before falling short to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 with the Undisputed WWE Title on the line. History repeated itself in 2024 when he won the Men’s Royal Rumble Match again and beat Reigns at WrestleMania XL to win the title.

Rhodes has since moved from Raw to SmackDown as its top star while Reigns has taken time off. At Saturday’s Backlash France, Rhodes will make his first televised title defense against AJ Styles.

According to CageMatch.net, Rhodes has worked the most matches out of all of the men in WWE with 40 matches. For the female side, Kairi Sane has worked the most at 32 bouts. Rhodes holds a 38-2 record while Sane has a 7-24-1 record.
