Cody Rhodes Reacts to the Elite Staying in AEW

Although Cody Rhodes is no longer in AEW and is busy being a top WWE star, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t stay in touch with his friends in The Elite.

Earlier this week, The Elite (Kenny Omega, Adam Page, and the Young Bucks) re-signed with All Elite Wrestling despite having interest from WWE. They signed multi-year deals to stay with a promotion they helped build.

While speaking with Nick Hausman from the Haus of Wrestling, Rhodes was asked about his thoughts.

“I’m very happy when any wrestler or Superstar gets paid. I don’t want to sound carny or hacky but to know that your peers and people who take the bumps and go through all this and have that type of the physical struggle that comes with this gig, to know they’re getting paid is really exciting. I am over the moon that that group did what they did because, as Nick Jackson said, I believe they’ve made some NBA money off of it.”

Rhodes added that he’s happy for them despite wanting to have seen them again. He understands the schedule in AEW is different, and being in WWE is a different type of personality that fits him a little bit more.
