Former WWE star could be back in the company in time for the Royal Rumble

WWE is just a few weeks away from presenting its Royal Rumble PLE from Tampa, FL, which is expected to feature the return of a former star. Things appear to be in motion for this to happen following the TNA Hard to Kill pay-per-view event.

The send-off

At the event, Trinity, aka Naomi, dropped the Knockouts Title to Jordynne Grace in a hard-fought match. This appeared to be the final night for Trinity after she joined the promotion last year following her exit from WWE in May 2022 when she walked out of WWE alongside Mercedes Mone due to creative differences.

They were later suspended until they negotiated their release, where they went their separate ways. Trinity is expected to be a free agent very soon and will be finishing up with TNA.

Coming back

As seen below, Trinity had a tearful sendoff in her farewell match. It’s unclear exactly what WWE has plans for her and when she is expected back in the company, but she may be a surprise return in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, something internally expected.

Bayley, Nia Jax, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair are the competitors confirmed thus far in the bout.
