After taking a few weeks off, Gable Steveson was back in the ring on Friday night.
Steveson’s future is interesting as there are a lot of questions with little to no answers. He withdrew from the Senior World Championships last month, only to be removed from the internal NXT roster before working three NXT house shows in September.
This all comes at a time when he had been looking to make a return to amateur wrestling and potentially compete in the 2024 Olympics. WWE has to sign off on him doing these types of competitions as he is still under contract with the company.
As previously reported, his overall future depends on Vince McMahon and Steveson’s future is being kept quiet.
WWE held an NXT live event on Friday night from Largo, FL, where Steveson wrestled against Javier Bernal and went over. This marked his first match since September 23. In his six pro wrestling matches, he holds a 5-1 record.
