Injuries are going to happen in wrestling, no matter the style, whether it’s a throwback technical style or high flying, with wrestlers taking wild spots in and out of the ring.
For Bandido, he has experienced what it’s like to be out of the ring with an injury.
The AEW star suffered an injury while working a match that aired in June on a Rampage episode in a loss to Konosuke Takeshita. At first, when he suffered a left wrist injury, he had been given a first diagnosis of a triangular fibrocartilage complex injury. Still, he wanted to get a second opinion before having the surgery.
In July, Bandido underwent the surgery.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Bandido is getting closer to making an in-ring return.
Meltzer wrote, “Bandido has the cast off his wrist so he should be back soon. He got the pin taken out two weeks ago and September was originally when he was expected to return.”
We wish him a speedy recovery.
