Following Hulk Hogan’s appearance, The Bloodline went out to the ring to kick off “The Trial of Sami Zayn” segment.
Here’s a brief recap of the segment:
Paul Heyman acknowledged the ECW chants from the crowd and said “ECW is dead and I wish the same for Sami Zayn.” Heyman said this is an “open and shut” case and he backed up his statements with footage to show that Sami is guilty as charged.
Sami responded and denied the allegation that he is conspiring with Kevin Owens. Sami said, “My defense is that I have no defense.” Roman Reigns yelled at Sami for not showing enough respect to try to defend himself. Solo Sikoa was about to hit Sami with the Samoan Spike to the throat but he was stopped by Jey Uso.
Jey put together his own footage that shows moments when Sami helped The Bloodline, including the WarGames footage that showed Sami taking out Kevin Owens. Jey told Sami that he loves him like a brother and the footage shows that he’s loyal to the family. Both Usos voted to keep Sami in the family and Reigns said, “As your Tribal Chief and the Head of the Table, I find you Sami Zayn not guilty…for now.”
Reigns said that Jey bought Sami more time and tonight Sami can make The Bloodline proud and the next time he wants to see him is the Royal Rumble on Saturday. Roman said that on Saturday we will see if Sami Zayn really is The Bloodline or not.
