Jim Ross stated today on Twitter that he recently spoke with Jerry “The King” Lawler and the news on his health seems to be good.
Ross said that Lawler’s voice got better during their conversation and Lawler will “undergo a procedure” next week to “help his situation.”
Best wishes to Lawler, who was hospitalized in February after suffering a stroke. Lawler made his first TV appearance since his stroke at the Hall of Fame to help induct Andy Kaufman. HIs health prevented him from flying but he sent in a video statement that was taped at his home.
Had a great one hour convo today with @JerryLawler who’s recovering from the affects of a stroke.
Jerry’s voice seem to get stronger the longer we spoke.
The King will undergo a procedure next week to help his situation. 🤠 pic.twitter.com/P68MooccB3
