Fans are eagerly awaiting to see Mercedes Mone step back into the squared circle and wrestle again.
Mone had been in talks with both WWE and All Elite Wrestling before making her decision to sign with All Elite Wrestling. While in talks with WWE, she reportedly asked to be paid at the same level as Lynch, but the talks fell apart, sending Mone to the rival promotion.
Mone made her AEW arrival at AEW Big Business in Boston last month but has only done promos since then. Last week on Dynamite, she did make it clear that she would be challenging the AEW TBS Champion for the title at AEW Double or Nothing next month.
Before then, Willow Nightingale is slated to face Julia Hart at AEW Dynasty for the AEW TBS Title at the Dynasty pay-per-view event. Some fans have wondered whether Mone will wrestle before Double or Nothing as a way to get back into ring shape after being sidelined since last summer due to an injury that resulted in her undergoing surgery.
Mone made it known in a response on Twitter to a fan that she won’t wrestle before Double or Nothing.
