Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks, is days away from making her NJPW in-ring debut.
Once free of her WWE non-compete in January, she made her NJPW debut on January 4 at Wrestle Kingdom when she showed up after IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI retained her title and attacked the former fellow WWE star.
Mone will challenge KAIRI for the title at NJPW Battle in the Valley in San Jose this Saturday. It’s part of a double main event build.
As seen below, Mone shared an emotional video on Twitter to hype her in-ring return. She also shared behind-the-scenes footage of her NJPW debut.
“Man, I can’t believe how many people have supported me in this. I’m so happy. I’ve never felt so happy,” Banks said in the video while crying.
