WWE President Nick Khan has publicly given his thoughts on the allegations against former WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon.
Allegations
A lawsuit alleged that McMahon had been involved in a sex trafficking and abuse scandal from a former WWE employee, Janel Grant. She also alleged McMahon coerced her into engaging in sexual activities with himself and other men and allegedly shared explicit photos of the victim with various men inside and outside of the company.
The company and former exec John Laurnatis were also named in the suit. For the latest on the case, click here.
Khan’s comments
While on The Town with Matthew Belloni, Khan discussed the allegations while talking about WWE’s big-money media rights deal with Netflix to air Raw on the streaming platform starting January 2025 and whether allegations ever had a negative impact on the deal.
“I don’t know about ‘kill’ but it [the allegations] certainly wouldn’t have helped the deal. So those allegations are obviously horrific and serious and we take them and interpret them the same way I think every other reasonable person or organization would take them and you saw the quick resignation… No (Netflix did not tell us to make McMahon resign). Not in any way, shape or form… No (Vince is not involved in any way). Zero. As a stockholder as I’m a stockholder (is the only way he’s involved). Zero, zero, zero. By the way, he chose to resign. So, there was no litigation. As you said, there was no threat in litigation.”
