Positive News on Jon Moxley’s Recovery From a Concussion

Last week on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, Jon Moxley vs. Rey Fenix for the AEW International Title took place. However, Moxley suffered an injury and changed the finish on the fly.

Fenix won the championship in the match after Moxley was rocked after Fenix hit a dive. Referee Rick Knox made the count as Fenix covered Moxley. He held up at two and a half. Fenix hit another move with the referee counting fast, making it even more clear this was not supposed to be the finish.

As previously reported, Moxley suffered a mild concussion in the bout. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the injury, noting Moxley is said to be doing okay.

“Moxley is okay. I don’t know when he’s going to come back. He’s got to pass protocols. He’s not feeling any weirdness or anything like that. There’s nothing of grave concern. It’s just a question of when he can pass and, you know, whatever.”
