WWE won’t be moving forward with its 2023 edition of the Day 1 premium live event after all, as it has been canceled.
According to Brandon Thurston of WrestleNomics, WWE will not be presenting the event. As of right now, there will be no premium live event between Survivor Series in late November and the Royal Rumble in late January, although that could change.
The inaugural Day 1 show took place this past January from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The main event saw Brock Lesnar become the new WWE Champion after defeating Big E, Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens in a Fatal-Five Way match. He was supposed to wrestle Roman Reigns for the Universal title, but the match was nixed due to Reigns testing positive for COVID-19.
Also on the card featured Becky Lynch defeating Liv Morgan and the Usos retaining the tag team titles over the New Day.
