During a backstage interview with Tony Schiavone, Thunder Rosa ananounced that she is injured and she will not be able to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship.
The nature of the injury was not revealed but there had been rumors for months that Rosa had been working while hurt. At AEW All Out, there will be a 4-way match held featuring Toni Storm, Dr. Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida to crown an interim AEW World Championship.
There was no timetable given for Rosa’s return but we wish her a speedy and complete recovery.
