TNA Has Made A Big Change With Recent Contract Offers To Talent

Things continue to change in TNA Wrestling.

The changes in the promotion started at Hard To Kill two months ago with the rebrand. However, Scott D’Amore was removed as the TNA President shortly after, and Anthony Cicione replaced him, leaving talent upset with management.

Last month, it was reported TNA Wrestling is looking to do live weekly television for its flagship show, TNA Impact, on AXS TV in the future. They may do so without two of its top stars.

As previously reported, The Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, will be working for Smash Wrestling in London, Ontario, on April 21, the same date as the post-Rebellion TV tapings. Their deals are believed to be up this month and this booking date indicates they won’t be around for the PPV or the TV tapings.

Contracts

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that sources near TNA said that they believed it was true regarding when the contracts are up.

The report added, “We’re told that TNA’s offers of late have been categorically different than what many were expecting, especially after some of the talent meetings held in recent months.”

They’ve heard some talent have been offered per-date dates by TNA instead of full-time deals like had been in place. It’s possible these deals are only offered to some talent and not widespread.

Motor City Machine Guns were previously announced as signing new TNA deals on March 23, 2023, which could be the deadline date for when the deals are up.
