Fans should not expect Tony Khan to comment on CM Punk’s WWE return. The former AEW star returned to the company on Saturday night at Survivor Series.
History
A few months ago, AEW terminated his contract following his physical altercation with Jack Perry before the main card of the All In pay-per-view event. Punk had a heated confrontation with Khan after the situation and threatened to quit the promotion in the moment after the incident.
During the outburst, monitors reportedly fell on Khan. Khan previously said he feared for his safety while addressing the situation at Collision six days after the incident and hours after Punk’s release went public.

While appearing on BBC West Midlands to promote AEW All In 2024 ticket going on sale, Khan was asked about Punk’s return.
“Can’t talk about that, nor do I think it’s the time or the place, but I appreciate you asking and I’m very excited about AEW All In at Wembley Stadium,” Khan stated. “Not to dodge or duck your question. It’s just something I can’t legally talk about.”
I had the chance to chat to #AEW owner Tony Khan about #AEWAllIn 2024 at Wembley Stadium ahead of tickets going on sale this week.
I’ll post the full interview tomorrow but we covered lots of topics, including Sting, Will Ospreay, Fulham FC and I had to ask about #CMPunk… pic.twitter.com/1k2Jd5k5qh
