A top AEW star seems to be teasing making the move into Hollywood.
Former TBS Champion Jade Cargill tweeted on Sunday that she has enjoyed being out of the wrestling bubble and that she might stay. Her tweet that was posted on Sunday says, “Outside of the wrestling bubble is nice. I might stay.”
On July 1st, she flat out said “No” when a fan asked her if she would be returning soon. Cargill lost the TBS Championship to Kris Statlander at Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas and she hasn’t appeared on TV since that show.
Tony Khan likes to rotate talent so this could just be a case of Cargill being given time off until the company has a new storyline ready for her but it is interesting that she’s teasing doing things outside of the wrestling business.
Many people in and out of wrestling have talked about Cargill as someone who could become a crossover star and based on some of the red carpet photos she’s posted on social media, it looks like she could be on that path to Hollywood.
Of course, her posts could also be a red herring to throw people off for when/if she makes a surprise return to AEW TV.
