Top NJPW star makes voice acting cameo in Japanese version of The Rock’s “Black Adam”

An event in Japan was held to promote the release of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s “Black Adam” movie that will be released in the country on December 2nd.

There were voice actors in the Japanese dubbed version of the film, including former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada. On its website, NJPw has a recap of the event featuring Okada, who was joined on stage by Taiten Kusunoki and Maaya Uchida.

Okada looked at the life-size figure of Black Adam and joked that it looked like it could fight. Okada was asked whether he was interested in wrestling The Rock, and he said yes.

Okada received advice from his wife, Suzuko Mimori, who has done voiceover work. Okada will challenge Jay White for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title in January at Wrestle Kingdom 17.

Black Adam is the first film of 2022 to crack $50 million on its opening weekend since Thor: Love and Thunder in early July, as it drew a $140 million global box office worldwide.
