AEW has offered AR Fox a contract after his latest performance for the company.
The news was revealed in an interview segment shared on social media after Wednesday’s Dynamite while Fox spoke with Lexy Nair about wrestling close to his hometown.
He teamed with Top Flight in a losing effort to the World Trios Champions Death Triangle on the show.
Nai noted that AEW President Tony Khan is offering Fox the contract, although it wasn’t said whether this is a full-time deal or a per-appearance contract. An indication of which deal it is will happen if Fox gets an All Elite graphic at a later date.
Fox said, “It’s unbelievable to me. I don’t think I have the words to describe it. I grew up about ten minutes down the road, and I had my mother in the crowd here for a moment I thought I might never reach. So, yeah, I don’t know…I’m just waiting to be alone, so I can cry.”
This marked Fox’s seventh match with AEW and his first on television, as his previous six bouts all, took place on episodes of Dark and Dark: Elevation. As seen below, Fox’s reaction to the news was that of disbelief and joy:
