The support from fans for Cody Rhodes continues to be felt following the news that Cody Rhodes won’t get to finish his story exactly as we thought.
Backlash
The Rock and WWE are still receiving backlash for taking Rhodes’ spot at WrestleMania 40, where he is expected to face Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the event, despite Rhodes winning this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble Match.
As previously reported, only a handful of people knew that The Rock had agreed to do the match in early January as part of his deal to join the TKO Board of Directors.
Triple H reportedly was one of the few people alongside Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel and WWE President Nick Khan who knew this was the planned bout, not Rhodes vs. Reigns at WrestleMania.

Since then, there have been strong reactions from fans, whether that be at live events for him, several hashtags that have been trending for days on social media, or the “Rocky Sucks” chants during Monday’s Raw.
