Tonight on WWE SmackDown
– Roman Reigns and Jey Uso come to SmackDown as they prepare for Tribal Combat at SummerSlam
– Rey Mysterio battles Santos Escobar in the United States Championship Invitational Finals
– Karl Anderson to square off against Karrion Kross

In the ring, Jey Uso told Roman Reigns that he has been his right hand man for the last three years because he is his tribal chief. He believes he can lead the family and this company, but he broke the family, The Bloodline, and Jimmy and it’s Roman’s fault. Roman said when Jimmy got hurt, Jey asked for a title match because he’s selfish. Jey became the right hand man three years ago because at that time Jimmy was hurt. If he wasn’t hurt, Jey didn’t have a chance. Jey said he’s the only one who’s beaten him and at SummerSlam, he’s going to do it again.
Backstage, Grayson Waller told Jey Uso that if he wins or loses at SummerSlam he can come on the Grayson Waller Effect and get the Grayson Waller rub. It will be the Grayson Waller Effect featuring little Jey and Jey punched Waller in the mouth
Finals of the Unites States Championship Invitational:
Rey Mysterio vs Santos Escobar
Austin Theory was shown in the skybox watching the match. Both Mysterio and Escobar were wrestling a clean match. Santos Escobar dove through the ropes onto Mysterio. When they came back from a commercial break, Rey Mysterio was down on the mat with a trainer looking him over. They showed a replay of the dive with Mysterio possibly banging his head on the floor. The trainer ruled the match needs to be stopped and Escobar was announced as the winner. Escobar and Mysterio hugged after the match.

Backstage, Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville talked down Belair. Belair challenged them to a match. Charlotte Flair interrupted and told Belair she can’t have Belair outnumbered because she wants Belair at 100% at SummerSlam. Flair asked Belair if she wanted to tag up against Green and Deville. Belair said no. Flair said that makes her want the match even more so she is going to talk to Adam Pearce.
LA Knight vs Ashante Thee Adonis (w/ Top Dolla & B-Fab)
B-Fab distracted the referee and Top Dolla got a cheap shot on Knight for a two-count. Knight gave Adonis a neckbreaker. Dolla got up on the ring apron, but Knight punched him off. Knight gave Adonis the BFT and pinned him.

Backstage, Adam Pearce said after what happened earlier, Grayson Waller is beating on his door wanting a match with him. Jey accepted the challenge
Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville vs Charlotte Flair & Bianca Belair
Belair got Green up on her shoulders near the turnbuckle ready to give her the KOD, but Charlotte tagged Belair. Charlotte gave a boot to Green’s face and pinned Green. Belair argued with Charlotte on why she tagged in.

Backstage, IYO SKY asked Bayley why she left her last week. Bayley said she was going to get the keys for the valet because she didn’t want her to wait and after Shotzi’s creepy video, she thought it would be best to get their stuff and get out of there. She told IYO good thing she did because her stuff was fine but her’s were not. Bayley went to show IYO her bag that was destroyed and was surprised to find a sign in it that said see you soon. Bayley and IYO both said let’s get out of here, but Asuka showed up. She told IYO if she thinks about cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase at SummerSlam, she will regret it forever. IYO told her that she respects her but it doesn’t matter who wins at SummerSlam because she is going to be leaving as the WWE Women’s Champion.
Backstage, LA Knight told Adam Pearce that he should be on SummerSlam so if he wants to make the Battle Royal special, he needs to put him in there. The Brawling Brutes came in and Sheamus said him and the Brutes will win the Battle Royal. Pearce said he is officially putting Sheamus and Knight in the Battle Royal and next week on SmackDown, they will face each other one on one.
Backstage, Grayson Waller said Jey Uso is so stressed about Roman Reigns and SummerSlam that he is not ready for the Grayson Waller Effect
Backstage, Karl Anderson told AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Michin that this is personal with Kross and tonight, he needs to do this on his own
Karrion Kross (w/ Scarlett) vs Karl Anderson
Kross gave Anderson the Saito Suplex and the Kross Hammer. Kross screamed AJ’s name as he delivered The Final Prayer on Anderson and pinned him. After the match, Kross applied the Kross Jacket which brought Styles, Gallows, and Michin down to the ring. Kross released the hold when he saw them coming and left the ring.

Jey Uso vs Grayson Waller
Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman came down to ringside. Waller went for the Rolling Stunner, but Jey caught him with a superkick. Jey hit Waller with a spear and followed it with the Uso splash and pinned him.

After the match, Solo Sikoa attacked Jey. Roman called for the Spike. Solo attempted the spike, but Jey ducked it and gave him a superkick. Reigns hit the ring and Jey gave him a spear. Jey went to the top turnbuckle to deliver the splash, but Solo pushed him off. Solo gave Jey the Uranage. Solo held Jey up. Reigns delivered the spear on Jey at the same time Solo spiked him. They gave him another spear and spike combination to end the show.
