WWE star addresses potentially forming a new version of The Hurt Business

Although in early November, it was teased that the faction that consists of Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits could be getting a new member, that never happened.

Past ideas

As previously reported, there had been discussions about Odyssey Jones being added to the group, something that was even relayed to Jones. However, nothing has transpired since then. Jones hasn’t been used on television since before being called up to the main roster earlier this year as part of the Draft.

There was also talk earlier this year that The Hurt Business (Lashley, MVP, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin) could get back together with NXT’s Carmelo Hayes being added to the group. Obviously, the group isn’t getting back together with all of those members together with Benjamin’s release.

The question

While speaking with Vibe, Hayes was asked about the possibility of being part of a new Hurt Business.

“Shoot, that’d be cool,” he said enthusiastically. “Right now I’m so focused on what I got going on here in NXT. It’s going to take a lot more than just showing up and dapping me up to get me over there. I’m not thirsty for any membership. If they want me, they can holler at me and we can talk business. Respect to them [,though,] because they’re my brothers for real.”
