WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther vs. Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre took place at WWE WrestleMania 39 on Sunday night.
Gunther was knocked out of the ring early before Sheamus and Drew went at it. Gunther with some hard chops to Sheamus. Gunther with a back breaker then put Sheamus in a boston crab only for Drew to walk up and they exchanged chops. Sheamus’ chest was bruised and bloody because of the chops. Drew and Sheamus double teamed Gunther with chops. At one point, Sheamus hit 29 chops to Drew. Drew with a belly-to-belly suplex to Sheamus onto Gunther in the corner. Drew with a future shock DDT to Gunther, but missed the claymore and Gunther with a drop kick to him before hitting a powerbomb for 2. Sheamus with white noise off the middle rope to Gunther then celtic cross for a near fall. Sheamus and Drew did a dual submission hold spot. Sheamus with knees to his opponents, which got a pop. Sheamus with the big boot, but Drew pulled him out when making the cover. Drew with a front senton to the floor to take out Sheamus. Drew went for claymore kick, but Sheamus hit a big boot instead for 2. Drew with the claymore kick for a near fall again. The crowd was going nuts. Gunther with a splash to Sheamus, who was covering McIntyre. Gunther with a series of powerbombs and covered Drew for the win.
