Joe Hendry could be on the verge of a WWE return. Fightful Select and PWInsider report that Hendry is in London ahead of tonight’s Raw, his first reported sighting around WWE programming after several weeks away from television.
The former TNA World Champion has not been seen on WWE TV since the May 25 episode of Raw. That night, Hendry performed his viral “Fire Logan Paul” parody song before Austin Theory stormed the ring and laid him out with a steel chair, acting on behalf of Logan Paul and Paul Heyman. The attack wrote Hendry off television, and he has since leaned into the storyline in interviews, explaining in character that he is still recovering from the assault.
Hendry’s reported presence in London is notable given the timing. Tonight’s Raw emanates from the O2 Arena and serves as the go-home show for Night of Champions, which takes place June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. While the reports place Hendry in town, it remains to be seen whether he will appear on the broadcast or in what capacity.
A return would put Hendry back in the orbit of the rivalry that sidelined him, as Theory remains aligned with The Vision alongside Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman. Breakker and Theory are set to defend the World Tag Team Championship against The Street Profits on tonight’s show.
