Big Bill is on his way out of AEW, and a WWE homecoming appears to be in his future.
According to Fightful Select, which reported earlier this year that Big Bill’s AEW contract was set to expire this summer, the deal is now up within the next week. The outlet has also confirmed that Bill has officially given his notice to All Elite Wrestling.
The 6-foot-10 big man is reportedly poised to return to WWE, the company where he spent several years competing as Big Cass. He first made his name there alongside Enzo Amore, with the duo forming the popular “Enzo and Cass” tandem before both were released in 2018. Bill later spent time on the independent scene and in Impact Wrestling before joining AEW in 2022.
A reunion with his old partner could be in the cards as well. Per the report, plans call for Enzo Amore to be signed by WWE, though he had not officially put pen to paper as of mid-June. The word from within the company was that WWE wanted to wait until Big Bill was free and clear before signing both wrestlers.
