Alberto Del Rio sexual assault/aggravated kidnapping trial set to begin next week

Alberto Del Rio, real name Jose Alberto Rodriguez Chucuan, is slated to go to trial next week.

He’ll do so in San Antonio, Texas on January 25th where he faces one count of aggravated kidnapping and four counts of sexual assault. He was indicted in October 2020 by a grand jury in Texas.

Should he be found guilty, he could be facing as much as life in prison.

Last May, the former WWE and Impact Wrestling star was arrested for the alleged offenses. It all happened when he accused by the victim of infidelity. This led to him physically assaulting her.

The victim alleges that she refused to admit to the accusation and he “slapped her across the head” several times and “forced her to wear a dress and dance for him.”

The victim also alleged that he threatened to take her son and “drop him in the middle of the road somewhere” if she didn’t do what he said. The victim had her injuries documented via photographs.

It should be noted that his former girlfriend apologized to his family in a post on social media.
