WWE Hall Of Famer Arn Anderson has been released from the company, as first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet.
Anderson worked in a backstage capacity (mostly as an agent/producer) since 2001 when WCW was purchased by WWE. His final day with WWE was on Thursday.
There are no details available on why he was released but it’s worth noting that WWE recently hired several producers (Jeff Jarrett, Chris “Abyss” Parks, Shane Helms, Shawn Daivari and Sonjay Dutt) and there are people who work backstage fearful that they may be next because of the recent hires.
We reached out to a WWE source and independently confirmed the news about Anderson’s departure.
Anderson is scheduled to appear at Starrcast II during AEW Double Or Nothing weekend alongside fellow Horsemen JJ Dillion, Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Tully Blanchard, and Ric Flair.
