Backstage news on unaired WWE Raw Underground match, match re-taped this week

The Raw Underground matches WWE taped last week, which were thought to be scrapped, ended up taking place on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

However, there were changes made to them. Fightful Select reports that Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir both had showcase matches that were received really well by those in attendance. Those matches didn’t air last week due to the focus being on Bobby Lashley.

Instead of airing those matches this week, WWE decided to re-film them and adjusted for time because WWE wanted to use the split of the IIconics and the attack on Billie Kay into the story.

Titus O’Neil vs. Riddick Moss was also taped last week. It was also noted, “There is a lost match, so to speak. Dolph Ziggler vs. Ivar was filmed for last week, to the point WWE actually mentioned it on the air.”

The Ziggler/Ivar match that did not air would have featured Angel Garza showing up at the end leading to a breakdown in the match.
