Bayley on Ronda Rousey: “She isn’t taking my spot”

Ronda Rousey’s WWE debut turned a lot of heads toward WWE but some fans immediately started wondering who’s spot Rousey was going to take on the roster. After all, with her name being as large as it is she could likely take up a few spots.

Bayley recently spoke to NewsHub about many subjects including Rowdy Ronda’s WWE debut. She seemed confident in her place on the roster and really put Rousey over. But it still hasn’t seemed to sway Bayley’s goal of becoming a WWE Women’s Champion once again.

“She isn’t taking my spot, she is not stopping me from achieving my dreams just because she is here. She has touched so many different people in the world of sports. People want to see Ronda Rousey because she is an attraction. I have people come up to me at my gym and they tell me they are going to watch because they are big UFC fans. I don’t feel like she is taking the spotlight away from us – if anything it is pushing us to be better because she is getting that spotlight, so we have to push harder to keep our spot. My goal is to be the women’s champion, to main event on a regular basis, to be at WrestleMania. It doesn’t matter to me who comes in, they are not taking my spot unless they earn it.”

As Ronda Rousey continues in WWE she very well might have a chance to lock up with The Hugger in the ring. After all, a 4 Horsewomen vs 4 Horsewomen rivalry was the initial rumor.

So Ronda could very well see herself running through Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Bayley further cementing her place in WWE. We’ll just have to wait and see but there could be some exciting things on the way as Ronda Rousey’s story in WWE continues to unfold.
