Breezango (Fandango and Tyler Breeze) defeated Imperium (Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner) to win the NXT Tag Team Championship on tonight’s USA broadcast.
Announcers Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett made note during the match that they have never won tag team gold before so tonight was their chance to prove that they could win the big one.
Fandango got the win for his team after pinning Aichner after a legdrop of the top rope. Fandango and Breeze celebrated their big win by the announcers table.
This week’s NXT has been a very newsworthy show. In addition to Breezango winning the tag titles, the show kicked off with Karrion Kross (w/ Scarlett) relinquishing the NXT Championship. Kross acknowledged that he separated his shoulder during his match with Keith Lee at NXT TakeOver: XXX on Saturday. Click here for video of the opening segment with Kross relinquishing his title.
