Brock Lesnar lost to Cody Rhodes in a singles match at the WWE SummerSlam premium live event on Saturday night from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, which was the blowoff match to their feud after the two had exchanged wins ahead of the trilogy.
Lesnar shook hands, hugged, and raised Rhodes’ arm after the match. As previously noted, this particular moment was not planned to happen.
The original belief was that Lesnar is booked for WWE Fastlane on October 7th. However, that’s not the case.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Lesnar will be gone from WWE for a while.
“Brock was originally advertised on one of the pay-per-views later this year, but he’s not gonna be on it. He’s gonna be gone for a while. You know, no time soon. As far as the next four months or something like that. He’s not gonna be on anything. You know, at that point, I mean, he’ll be back for Mania season. He is coming back. So that’s the situation with, with him.”
