In recent weeks, WWE has called up various NXT stars such as Toni Storm, Tegan Nox, Shotzi Blackheart, and Karrion Kross to the main roster.
This came after WWE held several dark matches featuring these wrestlers as well as Bronson Reed. The likes of Kross and Reed even worked an episode of WWE Main Event.
Before they made their official main roster debuts, it was reported that the reason for the dark matches was so WWE officials could get a better look at the wrestlers.
Around the same time that he was working dark matches, Reed also lost the North American Title to Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. This made fans think he could get called up.
Reed spoke with Denise Salcedo on Instinct Culture and during it, he was asked about rumors that he could be going to either Raw or SmackDown.
“For the time being I am still in NXT and I love being in NXT. And when I lost that belt I knew straight away that everyone on Twitter and Instagram; I knew that was gonna be what everyone thought because I am like ‘okay that makes sense that’s what people think.’ But it is something that I look forward to doing. I look forward to doing more with NXT but at the same time, as a kid growing up as such a big fan, I wanna be on Royal Rumble, I wanna be on Summerslam, I wanna have my Wrestlemania moment. So to be able to do that you have to be on a Raw or SmackDown.”
I asked Bronson Reed if he is interested in going to RAW or Smackdown, I ask him about the tweet he published in regards to Roman Reigns & The Usos and he tells me about his goals within WWE.👇👇👇👇 pic.twitter.com/jFoWsYxD8P
