Bully Ray: ‘Bo Dallas Is The Link To’ Bray Wyatt. ‘I Would Have Kept Bo Dallas Around’ In WWE

Bully Ray says the release of the Wyatt Sicks was not a surprise, but he draws a firm distinction between the rest of the faction and one specific member he believes WWE should have kept at all costs.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio following the post-WrestleMania 42 roster cuts that included the entire Wyatt Sicks faction, Bully Ray made clear that he would never have released Bo Dallas under any circumstances given his unique connection to the late Bray Wyatt.

“Am I shocked that the Wyatt Sicks are no longer here? No, I’m not shocked. However, I would have never got rid of Bo Dallas. Bo Dallas is the link to Bray. I would have kept Bo Dallas around. I would have kept Bo Dallas around and I would have kept the character doing something. Even if Uncle Howdy, for the rest of his WWE career, was always trying to find a way to talk to Bray Wyatt, to The Fiend, one more time, and that was his entire story, and his entire quest, because the last time we saw the Fiend was in the WWE, so Uncle Howdy was always searching the WWE for the door, for the stargate to find The Fiend, and we always saw him, and as we move along in his story, someone is always trying to stop him. I would have kept Bo Dallas around. This goes way beyond business, it goes beyond a bottom line and dollars and cents. To me, keeping Bo Dallas around would have been the right thing to do,” Bully Ray said.

Bo Dallas portrayed Uncle Howdy, the leader of the Wyatt Sicks, who were formed in tribute to his brother Bray Wyatt following Wyatt’s death in August 2023. The group also included Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross, all of whom were released on April 24 as part of WWE’s post-WrestleMania 42 cuts.
