Carlito Reveals Strangest Fan Request: ‘Please Stop’ Asking. ‘I Don’t Do It’

Carlito has shared some of the strangest fan requests he gets at independent circuit signings, telling Chris Van Vliet that fans frequently ask him to spit in their faces, with the request becoming so common that he has started declining it on legal grounds.

The conversation came up at the Squared Circle Expo convention, where Carlito was signing for fans. Carlito’s signature apple-spit spot has been one of the central character things of his entire wrestling career.

“I sign fake ones, but a lot of times they’ll bring me a real one. I don’t know why, they’ll be dead, you know, be rotten in a day. But they say they have all kind of plans. They’re gonna put them in a plastic bag or put them in the freezer. Whatever.”

Asked specifically whether fans ask him to bite one side and sign the other, Carlito redirected to the more unusual request he gets.

“What I’m asked the most is to spit in their face. They go, ‘How much you charge to spit in my face?’ I’m like, why would anybody even want that, number one. Number two, I think that’s a lawsuit. I mean, they could come back and sue me. Please stop asking this request. I don’t do it.”

Carlito has been on an active independent circuit booking schedule since his WWE departure earlier this year.
