Charlotte Flair has framed her eventual return to a heel character as a payoff that will be appreciated even more by fans who did not connect with her previous heel work, telling Ring The Belle that the bigger impact will come because audiences will have had their fill of her current babyface run.
Flair has been tagging with Alexa Bliss over the past year, with the team transitioning her into a babyface role. The current role represents one of the longer-running babyface stretches of Flair’s WWE career, with her previous main-roster work having been heavily anchored in heel character work.
“This is what I’ll say, when I do go back to being bad, I think it’ll just be appreciated more by the people that couldn’t understand or didn’t appreciate the being bad. You’ll have got your fix of this and then when I do go back bad and whatever that looks like, when, maybe it’ll just have a bigger impact.”
Flair was featured on the May 29th SmackDown in Badalona, Spain while at ringside for Bliss’ loss to Jade Cargill.
