Ric Flair has threatened legal action over the use of his “Flair” trademark after a public dispute with a family member. Flair posted the threat on X, noting the situation as one he wants resolved by Monday.
“Unfortunately, there is someone that I’m very familiar with using my own trademark FLAIR. I would like anyone who is using my trademarks — which are impossible to own and I own mine, to know that I’m well represented by a reputable $1000 per hour attorney that makes a living suing people that abuse my trademark. You know who I’m talking about. I hope you can clear this up by Monday, and if we can’t resolve this issue, read the penalties.”
Flair posted a follow-up that added context. “The relationship was gone 9 years ago. I’m sorry and sad that it has come to this. I’ve tried my best to fix things over the years only to be rejected because your wife runs your life.”
He added in a deleted tweet, “Unfortunately, There Is Someone That I’m Very Familiar With Using My Own Trademark FLAIR. I Would Like Anyone Who Is Using My Trademarks- Which Are Impossible To Own And I Own Mine, To Know That I’m Well Represented By A Reputable $1000 Per Hour Attorney That Makes A Living Suing People That Abuse My Trademark. You Know Who I’m Talking About. I Hope You Can Clear This Up By Monday, And If We Can’t Resolve This Issue, Read The Penalties.”
David Flair appears to be associated with Green Flair Recycling per his LinkedIn profile. He is Ric Flair’s son. The two have had a publicly documented complicated relationship across the years. Neither David Flair nor Green Flair Recycling has publicly commented on the trademark threat.
