CM Punk removed from WWE App; WWE worried about tonight?

Thanks to Hank for sending this note in about the App…

CM Punk has been removed from the WWE App and replaced by John Cena.

The company is very concerned about Raw in Chicago in a few weeks. WWE feels that the crowd will attempt to hijack the show. The idea is to try to get in front of the chants for that show and have Daniel Bryan kick off the show so if the crowd tries to take over the show at least they can do it with Daniel Bryan chants and not CM Punk chants. Wishful thinking but I doubt they’ll be able to silence the CM Punk chants in Chicago. The company is not as worried about the crowd in Omaha tonight since Omaha is typically not considered a rowdy crowd like the “smart” crowds in the northeast.

Jim Ross commented on his blog about CM Punk

“I fully understand that Punk is burned out and frustrated but I personally and perhaps selfishly wish that he would perform and steal the show at WM30 before taking his leave and recharging his batteries. That’s just the fan in me talking.”

Several readers have asked if anything has changed as far as Punk’s status. Well, the only thing we can say is that the people that would know are being very tight lipped. No one knows if Vince McMahon has spoken to Punk. AJ Lee, Punk’s girlfriend, has not said anything to anyone and none of the wrestlers have heard from Punk. Close friends of Punk have tried texting him and have not heard anything back from him.
