It didn’t take long for WWE to get CM Punk his first match since returning to the company. However, fans won’t be able to watch it at home.
Punk’s return was kept top secret at Survivor Series, with only the main eventers knowing. The deal for him to come back was made ten days before he returned. It’s a multi-year deal.
Punk joined the Raw roster on Monday night, where he had a heated segment with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins before declaring he would wrestle in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
Punk vs Dominik Mysterio will take place at a WWE live event on Saturday, December 30th, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA. The arena announced the news today. Punk’s last match in WWE was at the 2014 Royal Rumble.
Mysterio was originally advertised to wrestle Cody Rhodes in a Last Man Standing Match at this show. Also on tap for this show includes Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Bianca Belair vs. Charlotte Flair vs. WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY.
As of this writing, CM Punk is not advertised to wrestle at any other house shows.
JUST ADDED! @CMPunk will face ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio at the @WWE Live Holiday Tour on Saturday, December 30!
