Death of Jimmy Snuka’s girlfriend case update

The family of the late Nancy Argentino should find out soon on whether Jimmy Snuka will face indictment. Argentino was the girlfriend/mistress of Snuka when she died in 1983. She died under suspicious circumstances but Snuka was never charged. Snuka has claimed that her death was an accident and one of the stories told was that she fell and hit her head on the side of the road and died later. Another story told, according to statements given to police, was that he pushed her and she fell and hit her head.

The grand jury was given the case in 2014 and asked for an extension. That decision should be coming later this month.

The case was brought back to light in 2014 when the Allentown Morning Call revealed an autopsy report and interviews (never before seen by the public) that revealed that Argentino died of “traumatic brain injuries consistent with a moving head striking a stationary object.” The report also says that there were signs of domestic violence on Argentino’s body, including more than two dozen cuts and bruises from her head to her feet. Although nobody was charged, the autopsy report determined that her death was a homicide.

Snuka was listed as a “person of interest” just after the time of her death and he was accused of assaulting her just five months before her death. He said in his autobiography that rumors that he killed Argentino ruined his life.
