WWE NXT is slated to move television homes in just a few months.
WWE is a cash cow thanks to record business with guaranteed TV deals with NBCU and FOX for its weekly programs, record-breaking gates with live events, and merchandise sales off the charts. WWE has also been able to lock down its streaming deal with Peacock for its premium live events and monetize its library.
WWE made a deal with Netflix to see Monday Night Raw move from the USA Network to Netflix beginning in January 2025. The Raw deal is for ten years and more than $5 billion, valued at least at $500 million per year.
WWE got a raise for SmackDown’s rights to $205 million on average per year currently from FOX, as they will get $287 million per year in its next deal from NBCU when the show moves to the USA Network. Finally, NXT is slated to move from the USA Network to the CW network.
PWInsider.com reports that October 1st is NXT’s debut date on the CW Network. WWE has yet to confirm the premiere date. The early plans call for the show to be held outside of the Performance Center and held on the road in a major arena.
