WWE is doing a storyline where Austin Theory is missing and Dexter Lumis is behind his disappearance.
Johnny Gargano successfully defended the NXT North American Title against Kushida at TakeOver: Vengeance Day on Sunday night. Theory was missing after he vanished while walking with other members of The Way (Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Indie Heartwell) backstage to the ring.
It appeared Lumis rendered him unconscious after placing a towel over his mouth and nose, implying it was chloroform.
Now, it appears that WWE will be moving forward with a feud between Gargano and Lumis. Hartwell has been upset about his disappearance.
