Enzo Amore and Big Cass may be on their way back to WWE

You know the old "never say never' saying in wrestling? That would apply to the two WWE stars being talked about returning to the company.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has been in contact with Enzo Amore and Big Cass about returning to the company to be top stars in NXT. They were over as bigger stars in NXT than they were on the main roster when they were there last time.

There's no word yet on if they've accepted the offer to return but Cass has been open about wanting to get back to WWE and he's been working hard to get back into great shape. Click here to see a recent photo of Cass.

Amore has been trying to get his rap career off the ground but that doesn't seem to be getting much traction so a WWE return might be something he would want.

Again, the only thing known is that there have been talks and it's not known if they have accepted a deal but if they do sign then the logical thing to speculate would be that they would be wanted to appear on the first head-to-head show against AEW.

It will be interesting to see what the reaction will be if Amore returns. Some of the reaction online might be negative he would probably get a huge pop from the fans at Full Sail University.

Enzo and Cass aren't the only names WWE is interested in. Due to the war with AEW, they've reached out to people who they didn't have interest in before. Tony Schiavone was someone they wanted to sign and he hadn't worked for the company since 1990. Schiavone ended up signing with AEW.
