Eric Bischoff didn’t hold back when the subject of Vince Russo came up during a discussion about Sami Zayn’s WWE Championship win.
After Russo publicly blasted the title change, comparing it to David Arquette’s infamous WCW World Championship win, Bischoff was asked for his reaction on 83 Weeks. He offered a familiar, blunt critique of Russo.
Russo said on the Coach and Bro Show, “Embarrassing to me. Sami earned what? What did he earn? He worked harder than all the other wrestlers you see out there working? Really? This, to me, is an absolute joke.” He also compared it to the WCW World Title win by David Arquette.”
“Not much. Vince Russo is really good at talking. He’s really, really good. He can talk a great freaking game,” Bischoff said.
For Bischoff, that gift for gab is precisely the problem. “That’s what makes him dangerous, because while he can talk a great game, he can’t deliver one,” he said. “The guy is not nearly as creative as listening to him speak would lead you to believe.”
Still, Bischoff conceded that Russo has one undeniable quality. “He is entertaining to listen to, that’s for sure,” he said.
