Fallon Henley had a short message after a fan put hands on her at Madison Square Garden.
Henley and Lainey Reid opened WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event by defeating Paige and Brie Bella to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. As Henley celebrated with Reid and Jacy Jayne along the entrance aisle, a young fan seated nearby could be seen shoving her.
After the show, Henley posted a message on social media that appeared to address it.
“Don’t touch the wrestlers. Period,” Henley wrote.
The moment is the latest in a run of fans crossing the line with talent. At Clash in Italy, Jey Uso stepped in after a fan seated along the entrance aisle grabbed Roman Reigns’ hand and would not let go as Reigns tried to walk away. And at an independent show in Mexico in March, Nino Hamburguesa elbowed a fan who had allegedly been provoking him.
The title win was the story WWE will want to lead with. Henley and Reid, aligned with Jayne as Fatal Influence, are now first-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions after taking the belts from Paige and Brie Bella.
Don’t touch the wrestlers. Period.
